Danny Murphy

Now a prominent member of BBC's Match of the Day team, Danny started his career at Crewe Alexandra Football Club.

Making his debut at sixteen years of age, Danny made an immediate impact scoring on his debut versus Huddersfield Town F.C. He continued to be a regular for Crewe with his final game being at Wembley in a play off final in which Crewe won.

Liverpool FC, then managed by Roy Evans, bought Danny for three million pounds and at the age of nineteen he had joined the team he had supported and watched as a child.

Danny made nine appearances for England and also played 249 times for Liverpool, scoring 44 goals, 3 being winning goals at Old Trafford.
He was also a key member of the Liverpool FC treble winning squad.

Danny also played in the premiership with Tottenham and Fulham before ending his playing career with Blackburn Rovers.

During the coming year, Danny will appear at our different venues, offering advice and answering questions on his past football experiences, as well as his goals for the future.

As a course operator we are privileged to have Danny, an ex-England international and a highly regarded Premiership player, endorses our courses and we hope that at some stage all children attending our courses will have the opportunity to meet him.
